He wasn’t wearing a sock or cleat on his right foot and didn’t return to the game.Afterward, head coach Scott Shafer wasn’t too optimistic about Hunt’s injury. At the 7:33 mark of the quarter, Hunt escaped the pocket and seemed to roll awkwardly on his right ankle. The signal-caller was ejected in last season’s opener for punching a Villanova player and broke his fibula and tibia against Louisville on Oct. 3.He missed the final seven games of the season as the Orange sputtered to a 3-9 finish.True freshman Eric Dungey, who won the backup job over sophomore Austin Wilson, went 10-of-17 and threw for 114 yards and two touchdowns.
